The Boston College data center will be offline overnight Saturday, March 4, 8 p.m. - Sunday, March 5, 4 a.m. This outage is related to IT infrastructure resilience testing, and was planned to fall during Spring Break in an effort to minimize any disruption to the community.听
Affected Services
Many services that run in the data center will not be available during the outage, including:
- Agora Portal
- EagleApps
- Adobe Experience Manager (AEM)
- File Shares / Shared Drives (NetApps)
Unaffected Services
The following services are still available during the testing:
- Gmail and all of Google Workspace, including Drive, Docs, Meet, etc.
- Canvas: bostoncollege.instructure.com

- https://bceagles.com/
- ChurchIn21stCentury
- Eagle VPN
- Remote Desktop

What to Expect
- Affected services will be unavailable.
- As of Sunday, March 5, 4 a.m., all services should work as expected.
- Mapped Drives - If you have any mapped drives/servers configured on your computer, restart before connecting on Sunday morning or later.
- Reminder emails will be sent prior to March 4.听
