  • Define key terminology to understand the report and review the basics of responding to a CDP questionnaire request.
  • Activity: Read examples of CDP questionnaire responses and identify areas for growth and opportunity

Module 4: CDP Questionnaires for Companies

  • Identify the basis, content, and impacts of the four CDP programs: Climate Change, Water Security, Forests, and Supply Chain
  • Activity: Read the CDP questionnaires and updated guidance

Module 5: Verification

  • Learn about data verification for CDP, why data quality matters, and how to ensure your data verification meets CDP standards
  • Activity: Review data verification with a specific focus on greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions

Module 6: Sectors

  • Learn about CDP鈥檚 strategic move toward a more sector-focused approach for questionnaires and review tips for responding to help your company achieve higher scores and save time when responding to the questionnaire/s

  • Deep dive into the specific strategy questions in the information request, including company responses and guidance for completing
  • Activity: Check for comprehension on the Strategy section of the CDP questionnaire and read about scenario analysis

Module 8: Completing the Information Request鈥擟limate Change Metrics

  • Analyze the specific climate change metrics questions in the information request, including company responses and guidance for completing
  • Activity: Check for comprehension on the climate change metrics section of the CDP questionnaire and read about science-based targets and emissions scopes

Module 9: Completing the Information Request鈥擲takeholders

  • Identify stakeholder engagement-specific questions in the information request, including company examples and guidance for completing
  • Activity: Check for comprehension on the Stakeholder section of the CDP questionnaire and read about biodiversity and carbon pricing

Module 10 (optional): Completing the Information Request鈥擲upply Chain

  • In this optional final module, learn about the supplemental supply chain questions of the information request

 

RECOMMENDED FOR:

This course is intended for corporate citizenship, CSR, and sustainability professionals responsible for quantifying, measuring, or reporting on CO2 emissions proactively or in response to an investor or customer request. This course is also helpful for reporters including suppliers considering reporting for the first time.

Suggested prior knowledge and skills:

Familiarity with your company鈥檚 greenhouse gas emissions and/or water and waste usage.
