Scenario based scale development; student ratings of instruction; longitudinal social network change
Since arriving at the Lynch School in 1983 through his current position as Department Chair of Measurement, Evaluation, Statistics, and Assessment, Larry Ludlow has rigorously advanced how learning is assessed and teaching is improved. In the process, he has helped advance measurement methodology across numerous disciplines.聽
His major areas of research include Rasch model applications, longitudinal course evaluations, quantitative procedures for complexity theory, and longitudinal changes in social network structures.
An American Educational Research Association Fellow, Ludlow received the Patricia B. Elmore Award for Outstanding Research in Measurement and Evaluation from the Association for Assessment and Research in Counseling/Measurement and Evaluation in Counseling and Development.
Under his leadership, students are challenged to combine theory and practice to bring valuable new knowledge to research areas such as psychometrics, nursing, social work, physical rehabilitation, counseling, and educational administration.
