Summer Welcome Center
The Summer Welcome Center is located in Stayer Hall and serves as a first point of contact for all 热点爆料入口 summer students and campus guests. The Welcome Center Staff can assist with many of your needs, including:
- Check-in and check-out
- Check-in starts at 3 P.M., and guests must check out by 11 A.M.
- Room card, key access, and Wi-Fi questions
- Bed & bath linens
- Local-area information such as how to find the nearest shopping centers, restaurants, and tourist attractions.
The Welcome Center is open 7 A.M. to 12 A.M., 7 days a week.
Student Summer Housing
热点爆料入口 Undergraduate Students & Student Employees
Students are eligible for on-campus housing during their enrollment in in-person Summer Session classes at Boston College. The dates of each session can be found on the Student Services page. Should the student withraw from their courses, they will no longer be eligible to live in university housing, and are expected to move out within 24 hours. The student is required to email Res Life Summer Housing at聽sumhouse@bc.edu聽immediately to arrange their move out.
Those applying for summer session housing should register for their courses prior to applying for housing. Housing can not be granted until the student has registered for courses.
Summer Housing is available to students employed by a 热点爆料入口 office in an approved summer position supporting summer campus operations.聽 Should the student's employment or research position be terminated for any reason, that student is no longer eligible to live in university housing.聽 The student is required to email聽sumhouse@bc.edu聽immediately to arrange their move out.聽
In addition, supervisors are required to reach out to聽sumhouse@bc.edu聽to request a summer on-campus stay for their student employees or researchers. On-campus stays must be approved prior to students moving in.
The Summer Housing Application will be available on the聽聽by the end of March. All students applying for Summer Session Housing must confirm that they have read and agree to the聽Summer Housing Residency Agreement and the Conditions of Residency during the application process. Please note that applications must be fully completed in order to be approved.
All student housing will be in air-conditioned apartments with living rooms and kitchens. All students should anticipate sharing an apartment with 1-5 other students. Please note that cooking utensils and dinnerware are not provided. Furnishings in these rooms include: a desk, study chair, dresser, and bed for each occupant. Students are responsible for providing their own linens and lamp for rooms.
All students requesting a placement based on a medical condition, psychological or physical disability must register or re-register with the聽Disability Services Office.聽Students will be notified via their 热点爆料入口 email account once their request(s) have been reviewed and a decision has been made.聽
The facilities also include a vending area and laundry room that accept either the聽Eagle聽热点爆料入口 ID card聽or coins.聽聽are available, however, there is no summer meal plan offered.聽 Students might find it convenient to add Dining and/or Eagle Bucks to their Eagle 热点爆料入口 ID card account to use at the dining halls. A list of the available dining halls and their schedules is available through dining services.
All students granted Summer Housing may start checking in at the Summer Welcome Center in Stayer Hall at 3 p.m.聽Students must check out of their housing by 11 A.M.聽 Please email sumhouse@bc.edu for questions regarding the transition schedule.聽聽
Improper or late check out, failure to check out, excessive trash, or room damage will result in fines and University disciplinary action.
Exceptions:聽No expections are made to the check in or check out dates. The maintenance of the residence halls is carefully and densely scheduled and cannot be changed without causing significant conflicts. Please be sure to carefully review our聽dates and rates聽when planning travel and vacation around and during Summer Housing.
All undergraduate students will be charged a daily housing rate ($33 per person for air-conditioned rooms, or $21 for non-air conditioned) for every night they are checked into their on-campus space.聽Approved graduate student course groups may be assigned to single rooms at a rate of $66 per night. All charges will be applied directly to a student's account.聽Failure to properly check in and out at the Welcome Center in Stayer may result in additional charges being added to student accounts.
No refunds or adjustments may be made for cancellations or stays shorter than those applied for unless you have canceled your application via "My ResLife" or have notified聽sumhouse@bc.edu聽prior to your approved date of arrival.
CSTM & Other Graduate Programs
Only those students who are enrolled in the "Summer at STM" or other graduate programs (UCTC, PSAP) are eligible for this housing.
Please work with your program coordinator for questions regarding the application process.
All STM and Graduate Housing Summer students are housed in air conditioned single, double, or family occupancy (program dependent) rooms in apartment style housing on Lower Campus. Each room includes a desk, chair, dresser, and bed for each occupant. No dining plan is available through he University in the Summertime, but the dining halls are open. Students may pay with cash, a credit card, or with their Eagle ID Dining/Eagle Bucks.聽 Eagle IDs or coins can also be used to pay for the laundry facilities located in your residence hall.
STM Summer students bringing a spouse or additional family members should register for appropriate accommodations and include the names of each family member they are bringing in the comment section of the application. Rates depend on the number of occupants in a room and students are charged for each occupant. Please work with your program coordinator regarding specifics.
All students granted Summer Housing may start checking in at the Summer Welcome Center in Stayer Hall between 3 p.m. and 1 a.m. Please do not arrive outside these hours, as there will be no staff available to check you in. If you have an international flight that arrives after 1:00 a.m., please email us at聽sumhouse@bc.edu聽to make specific arrangements.
