The Èȵ㱬ÁÏÈë¿Ú Law Library provides the community with research, educational, and technology support. Offering an array of both common and rare collections, the library also offers legal research instruction and supports scholarship, teaching, and our law reviews’ source collection efforts.
As the top campus resource for research services, we provide nearly 500,000 volumes and more than 400 online databases—including BloombergLaw, LexisNexis, Westlaw, HeinOnline, and WorldCat.
Students can reserve one of our 10 group study rooms or use our spacious carrels, tables, and comfortable seating to prepare for classes and exams. They can also take breaks in our meditation room, where we hold weekly group sessions.
The library’s collections are multiplied through membership in two consortia: the New England Law Libraries Consortium—which consists of more than 110 academic, private, and government law libraries in five countries—and the Boston Library Consortium, which comprises 18 research libraries around the region.
The Daniel R. Coquillette Rare Book Room is a study and exhibit space that houses old and rare law books and manuscripts, including texts that lawyers in the 16th–19th centuries likely would have owned.
Through a variety of classes and specialty courses, law librarians help prepare students with practical skills, including advanced legal research.
The Administrative and Technology Resources department provides technology support services—including help with serious computer problems and loss of data—in our Student Computing Help Center.
