Diversity & Outreach

The Chemistry Department at Boston College is committed to achieving a diverse representation of all of our members that include faculty, staff, postdoctoral research associates, graduate students, and undergraduate student majors.聽 As a department, we are implementing specific, concrete actions to build a departmental culture that celebrates diversity and fosters a sense of community and belonging to improve the well-being of members of the department.

We are particularly proud of community building and chemistry outreach activities for students at all stages of learning. We seek to instill an interest in science in younger students by engaging their natural curiosity and wonder with the physical world. Through campus visits and summer research laboratory opportunities, we seek to challenge and inspire older students to pursue careers in the chemical sciences.
